My primary hobby is computer programming. I play with a lot of different languages frequently including Scala, Erlang, Haskell, Ruby, JavaScript, C, C++, Objective-C, ActionScript, Java, and PHP. I am very in programming language theory and paradigms.

I also really enjoy traveling and attempt to do so whenever my work and school schedule permits. You can see some of the places I've been in my my map, under "frivolities". I travel to Germany rather often to visit my girlfriend who lives on a small island in the Baltic Sea.

When I have time I also enjoy photography. I currently have a Canon EOS 40D and a Canon Powershot SD 790. Some of my photos can be found on Flickr, but I am very bad at remembering to upload them on a regular basis.
